A Wonder Of Nature
On an Island in the Atlantic
Well-Known as Newfoundland
God placed a now famous Moose
Ready to take his stand.
For many, many, years now
The moose has served our natives well
As a means of our survival
On which they could always dwell.
Years went by and time rolled on
And then from a recessive gene
Something very unique transformed
That had never before been seen.
A rare and beautiful species
Put forth by creation for free
To be admired and respected
And for all the world to see.
Look on with pleasure and amazement
Now a law states, please cause no harm
For it is to our advantage
That the White Moose was born
